Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.\n\nThe Role\nAs a Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure - good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally "figuring it out." This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.\n\nThere are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn't specific to any one platform, so you'll need a good feel for all of them.

And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\n\nRequired Technical and Professional Expertise\n\nMinimum 10+ years of experience in z/OS System Administration environment with work management, user management, journal management and performance management.\n\nAct as support and domain expert for z/OS operating system and system components; provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to z/OS operating system, network, and component software\n\nPrimary support for assigned ISV products along with diagnose z/OS platform system and product issues and follow up with root cause analysis\n\nAnalyse performance issues while providing technical consultation and inquiries from the other IT technical teams\n\nSupport for new product installation and evaluation as needed\n\nParticipate in Disaster Recovery planning and tests as scheduled\n\nLead daily Operations meetings provided there are no P1 incidents running.\n\nValidated knowledge in the following technologies: z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, Third party products\n\nProven experience in providing support for ISV products.\n\nAbility to Recognize complex problems related to functional objectives. Analyze situations and implement solutions, or develop new system elements, procedures or processes and demonstrated ability on BRMS, Tape management, ATL/VTL for Tape Libraries.\n\nPreferred Technical and Professional Experience\nBachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.\n\nSME for MF ZOS system programming problem determination.\n\nTechnical guidance to the team.\n\nEvaluate and recommend changes to current and future system software requirements to meet the organization's needs.\n\nExcellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.\n\nTroubleshoot Infrastructure and Application issues related to ZOS.\n\nBeing You\nThe "Kyn" in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
