This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.\nJob description -\nContainer & Platform Engineering\nDesign, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters for enterprise workloads\nPackage, deploy, and manage applications using Helm charts\nImplement best practices for container lifecycle management, scaling, and resiliency\nTroubleshoot container, pod, and cluster-level issues\nStorage & NetApp Integration\nIntegrate NetApp storage solutions with Kubernetes Trident / Astra (stateful workloads)\nPersistent Volumes (PV), StorageClasses\n\nSupport NetApp ONTAP‑based storage for container platforms\nOptimize performance, availability, and data protection for stateful containers\nCI/CD & Git Pipelines\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications\nImplement Git‑based pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)\nAutomate build, test, container image scanning, and deployment processes\nEnable GitOps practices for Kubernetes deployments\nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code\nDevelop automation using scripts and declarative configurations\nAutomate cluster provisioning, application deployment, and upgrades\nCreate reusable templates for Helm charts and pipeline automation\nSupport continuous improvement of automation frameworks\nOperations & Reliability\nMonitor platform health, performance, and capacity\nImplement logging, monitoring, and alerting for containers\nParticipate in incident management and root cause analysis\nCollaborate with DevOps, SRE, and application teams\nYour future at Kyndryl\nThere are lots of opportunities to gain certification and qualifications on the job, and you'll continuously grow as a Cloud Hyperscaler. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nTechnical Skills\nOverall 7+ years of experience into IT.\n\nCore Containerization Skills\nStrong experience with Docker (building, running, and managing containers)\nWriting and optimizing Dockerfiles for efficient image creation\nManaging container images (tagging, versioning, pushing/pulling from registries like Docker Hub, Harbor, ECR, ACR, GCR)\nKnowledge of OCI image standards and container lifecycle management\nDeep expertise in Kubernetes architecture and operations\nStrong hands‑on experience with NetApp storage for containers\nContainer Orchestration\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) (deployments, services, pods, namespaces, ConfigMaps, secrets, etc.)\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes distributions (OpenShift, EKS, AKS, GKE, Rancher)\nExperience with Helm charts for application packaging and deployment\nScaling and load balancing containers in orchestrated environments\nInfrastructure & Cloud\nDeploying containers in cloud platforms (AWS ECS/EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE)\nFamiliarity with hybrid and multi-cloud container platforms\nNetworking knowledge (CNI plugins, ingress controllers, service mesh like Istio/Linkerd)\nPersistent storage and volume management in containerized environments\nDevOps & Automation\nBuilding CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Tekton)\nInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi) for container deployments\nAutomation of container build, scan, and deployment processes\nKnowledge of GitOps practices\nAutomation & Tooling\nYAML‑centric configuration and templating\nScripting (Shell, Python, or equivalent)\nExposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)\nKubernetes CSI and storage lifecycle automation\nPlatform & Tooling\nDocker or container runtimes\nGit (branching and pull request workflows)\nKubernetes storage concepts (PV, PVC, CSI)\nExposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus\nNice‑to‑Have Skills\nGitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux)\nNetApp Astra / Trident\nTerraform or Ansible\nObservability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)\nService mesh or API gateway exposure\nSoft Skills\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills\nAbility to work in fast‑paced, production environments\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills\nAutomation‑first and problem‑solving mindset\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience\nCertifications (Preferred)\nKubernetes (CKA / CKAD / CKS)\nNetApp certifications (NCDA or cloud storage exposure)\nCloud certifications (Azure/AWS)\n\nBeing You\nThe "Kyn" in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
