Then there's a good chance you will love being a part of our Software Engineering - Development team at Kyndryl, where you will be able to see the immediate value of your work.\n\nThe IT Platform Lead will be responsible for designing, building, modernizing, and operating enterprise-scale data engineering platforms that support analytics, AI/ML, regulatory reporting, and data-driven business use cases.

Ensures data platforms are scalable, secure, resilient, compliant, and aligned with European banking regulatory, governance, and operational standards.\nProvides technical leadership across data engineering, cloud platforms, governance, operations, modernization, and platform reliability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn and drive enterprise data platform strategy, roadmap, standards, and implementation approach.\n\nDesign scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing data architectures across data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse platforms.\n\nLead end-to-end data engineering platform development, operations, modernization, and continuous improvement.\n\nBuild and manage robust ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics, reporting, AI/ML, finance, risk, and regulatory use cases.\n\nYour contributions will have a significant impact on our products' success, and you will be part of a team that is passionate about innovation, creativity, and excellence. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\n\nRequired Technical and Professional Experience\n3 to 5 years of experience in banking or BFSI domain with strong focus on data engineering, data platforms, analytics, and enterprise data architecture\n\nStrong hands-on experience in data engineering, data integration, transformation, ingestion, and data distribution patterns.\n\nAdvanced SQL expertise for complex querying, data modelling, performance tuning, reconciliation, and analytical workloads.\n\nStrong programming experience in Python with exposure to PySpark, Spark, Scala, or Java.\n\nDeep understanding of batch processing, incremental loads, CDC, pipeline orchestration, and data pipeline design.\n\nExperience building scalable pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.\n\nStrong knowledge of data modelling, dimensional modelling, data marts, enterprise data warehouse concepts, facts, and dimensions.\n\nHands-on experience with big data and distributed processing technologies such as Spark, PySpark, Hadoop, or equivalent platforms.\n\nExperience with streaming and event-driven platforms such as Kafka or similar messaging technologies.\n\nExperience with workflow orchestration and scheduling tools such as Airflow, Control-M, TWS, or equivalent tools.\n\nStrong experience with cloud data platforms across Azure, AWS, or GCP.\n\nHands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent platforms.\n\nExperience with CI/CD, DevOps, Git, automated deployments, infrastructure-as-code, release management, and platform automation.\n\nStrong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, lineage, reconciliation, monitoring, and observability.\n\nKnowledge of GDPR, data privacy, access control, encryption, masking, retention, audit controls, and security-by-design principles.\n\nStrong understanding of banking data domains including Payments, Cards, Lending, Credit, Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Treasury, and Investments.\n\nPreferred Technical and Professional Experience\nExposure to Dataiku for analytics workflows and enterprise data platform integration.\n\nExposure to MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI/reporting platforms.\n\nKnowledge of container platforms, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or modern platform engineering practices.\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field.\n\nPreferred certifications: Azure Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Data Governance, Cloud Architecture, or DevOps certifications.\n\nExperience in data platform migration, legacy modernization, and cloud transformation programs\n\nBeing You\nThe "Kyn" in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
