You'll combine hands-on development expertise with executive presence to drive engineering transformation initiatives that impact hundreds of thousands of developers.\nThis is not a traditional Solutions Architect role. You'll be writing code, architecting complex systems, creating technical content, and engaging with CTOs and VPs of Engineering to shape their AI-native development strategies.\n\nWhat Makes This Role Unique\n\nThis is not a typical Solutions Architect position. You'll be expected to:\n- Code regularly: Write production-quality code, not just review it\n- Go deep: Dive into complex technical challenges and solve them hands-on\n- Think strategically: Engage at the CXO level while maintaining technical credibility\n- Create at scale: Build content and frameworks that amplify your impact\n- Drive Engineering Transformation: Drive change across engineering teams of 10,000+ developers\n- Lead innovation: Pioneer new approaches to software development with AI\nIf you're passionate about software engineering excellence, excited about the potential of AI to transform how we build software, and energized by the challenge of helping large organizations reinvent their development practices, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.\n\nLocation & Scope\n\n- Primary Location: India (Bangalore)\n- Geographic Focus: India market and Global Capability Centers (GCCs) with presence in India\n- Collaboration: Part of a global Developer Transformation team with opportunities for international collaboration\n- Travel: Willingness to travel within India and occasionally internationally as needed\n\nKey job responsibilities\nCustomer Engagement & Transformation\n\n- Lead engagements on AI Native Development Methods and Practices with large enterprise customers (ISVs, GSIs, FSI, and other Fortune 500 companies), driving full engineering organization transformation beyond single workload migrations\n- Engage directly with C-level executives (CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Engineering) to articulate technical vision and business value of developer transformation initiatives\n- Design and deliver hands-on workshops on AI Native Development Methods and Practices that demonstrate 2X-5X developer productivity improvements\n- Architect and implement complex, production-grade applications that showcase modern development practices and AI-native approaches\n- Conduct deep-dive architecture reviews and provide prescriptive guidance on domain-driven design, microservices, DevOps, and cloud-native patterns\n\nTechnical Leadership & Thought Leadership\n\n- Create high-quality technical content including reference architectures, white papers, blog posts, and code samples that demonstrate best practices\n- Develop and deliver thought leadership on AI-native development, modern software engineering practices, and enterprise transformation\n- Collaborate with AWS service teams to provide voice of customer feedback and influence product roadmaps\n- Build reusable frameworks, tools, and accelerators that can be leveraged across customer engagements\n- Contribute to global team initiatives on innovation, research, and "Think Big" projects\n\nCollaboration & Influence\n\n- Work closely with account teams to identify transformation opportunities and develop engagement strategies\n- Partner with Training & Certifications teams to scale developer enablement programs\n- Collaborate with specialist teams (Security, Data, AI/ML) to deliver comprehensive solutions\n- Mentor and influence other Solutions Architects and technical teams on modern development practices\n- Share learnings and best practices across the global Developer Transformation organization\n\nTechnical Execution\n\n- Write production-quality code across multiple technology stacks to demonstrate best practices\n- Design and implement end-to-end solutions covering frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure layers\n- Apply software engineering principles including Clean Code, SOLID, DRY, separation of concerns, and maintainability patterns\n- Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence patterns\n- Evaluate and recommend modern development tools, frameworks, and AWS services for customer use cases\n\nA day in the life\nYour days will be varied and impactful.
One day you might be facilitating an engagement on AI Native Development Methods and Practices where you guide a customer's development team through building production-ready code-demonstrating how AI can compress their development timeline from months to days.\n\nAnother day, you could be presenting an engineering transformation roadmap to a CTO, articulating how AI Native Development Methods and Practices can transform their organization of 10,000+ developers. You'll identify and nurture champions within their engineering organization-technical leaders who will carry adoption of the AI Native Development Methods and Practices forward long after your engagement ends.\n\nYou'll spend time creating technical content-reference architectures, blog posts, and thought leadership pieces that demonstrate modern development practices and AI Native Development Practices and principles. You'll build demo applications and frameworks that showcase what's possible, which you'll use in customer engagements to inspire and educate.\n\nYou'll collaborate with account teams to identify transformation opportunities, work with AWS service teams to share voice of customer insights, and connect with your global peers to exchange learnings and innovations.
This role requires balancing hands-on technical facilitation with strategic executive engagement and thought leadership.\n\nAbout the team\nThe Developer Transformation team is part of AWS's Worldwide Technology Organization, with a mission to pioneer AI-native software engineering practices at enterprise scale. You'll collaborate closely with account teams to identify transformation opportunities. Together, we facilitate engagements on AI Native Development Practices with India's largest enterprise organizations-guiding their engineering teams to compress development timelines from months to days.
You'll help customers solve their most pressing challenges: accelerating time-to-market, improving code quality, and transforming how tens of thousands of developers work. Our team operates with high ownership, transparency and autonomy-you'll own customer relationships end-to-end while contributing to global thought leadership initiatives.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\n- 13+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience\n- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience\n- Experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle\n- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies\n- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients\n- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers\n- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS\n- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization\n- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals\n- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)\n- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures\n- Experience working with end user or developer communities\n\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
