The institution has also built one of the country’s strongest student startup ecosystems, with 10+ students pitching on Shark Tank India and 20+ students raising external funding for their ventures, alongside several successful creators and internet entrepreneurs.\n\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Event & Operations Lead to lead the planning, execution, and operational management of events across multiple formats and locations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in event logistics, vendor management, travel coordination, and on-ground execution, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality experiences.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nEvent Planning & Execution\nLead end-to-end planning and execution of corporate, experiential, marketing, and large-scale events\nDevelop event timelines, operational plans, budgets, and contingency strategies.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and ensure flawless delivery.\nOversee venue selection, setup, production, registrations, guest management, and event closeout activities.\n\nVendor Management\nIdentify, onboard, negotiate, and manage relationships with event agencies, production vendors, travel partners, hospitality providers, and other service vendors.\nEnsure timely delivery of services while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.\nMonitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.\n\nEvent & Travel Logistics\nManage all event-related logistics including transportation, accommodation, venue operations, inventory, equipment movement, and attendee experience.\nCoordinate domestic and international travel arrangements for speakers, guests, leadership teams, and event participants.\nEnsure smooth travel planning, visa coordination (where applicable), and itinerary management.\n\nOn-Ground Operations\nLead on-site event operations and act as the primary point of contact during event execution.\nManage event staff, volunteers, vendors, and operational teams.\nHandle real-time issue resolution and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and service standards.\nConduct post-event reviews and implement process improvements.\n\nBudget & Process Management\nTrack event budgets, approvals, vendor payments, and expense reconciliations.\nDrive operational excellence through standardized processes, checklists, and reporting mechanisms.\nAnalyze event outcomes and provide actionable insights for future improvements.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.\n8+ years of experience in event management, operations, logistics, or a similar role.\nProven experience managing large-scale events and complex operational re\nquirements.Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.\nHands-on experience in travel logistics, accommodation planning, transportation management, and attendee coordination.\nDemonstrated ability to lead on-ground event operations under tight timelines.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in budgeting, planning tools, and operational reporting.\n\nPreferred Qua lifications\nExperience managing international events, conferences, roadshows, or global stakeholder engagements.\nExposure to international travel coordination and cross-border event logistics.\nExperience working with multinational teams, global vendors, or international audiences.
