Senior Engineering Manager - Platform Engineering (DevOps / TechOps)

This role offers the opportunity to work with emerging technologies while solving meaningful challenges in scientific instrumentation, laboratory informatics, and digital transformation.\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nExperience\n12+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.\n5+ years of people management experience, including managing managers.\nProven track record leading DevOps or platform organizations at scale .\nExperience with: Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS\nObservability systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, ELK)\nCI/CD platforms, preferably GitHub Actions\n\nExperience operating in complex, regulated, or large enterprise environments is a plus.\nDemonstrated success working with globally distributed teams.\n\nLeadership & Personal Attributes\nExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.\nStrong written and verbal communication , including technical documentation and executive presentations.\nHigh emotional intelligence with a coaching-oriented leadership style.\nOwnership mindset with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.\nLearning agility and openness to feedback.\nAuthentic, transparent, and collaborative.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nAct as a senior partner to product, security, infrastructure, and application engineering leaders.\nDeep understanding of DevOps, TechOps, and cloud-native operating models.\nTranslate complex technical topics into clear business outcomes for senior leadership.\nDrive alignment across teams through clear documentation, architectural decision records, runbooks, and operational playbooks .\nPrepare and deliver executive-ready presentations on platform strategy, risks, metrics, and investment needs.\nOwn and continuously improve SDLC processes including CI/CD, release management, incident management, and post-incident reviews.\nEnsure compliance with internal standards, security requirements, and audits where applicable.\nDrive engineering excellence across reliability, security, performance, and operational readiness.\n\n]]>
