Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.\n\nThe Role\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitoring & Alert Management\nMonitor SAP systems using SAP monitoring and observability tools.\nAnalyze and respond to infrastructure, database, application, and interface alerts.\nPerform proactive health checks and identify potential risks before service impact.\nReview system performance trends and recommend preventive actions.\nManage daily operational dashboards and service queues.\nIncident Management\nHandle L1/L2 Basis incidents according to SLA commitments.\nPerform initial diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of SAP system issues.\nCoordinate with SAP RISE operations teams, hyperscaler teams, and customer stakeholders during critical incidents.\nEscalate complex issues to L3 support and SAP support when required.\nEnsure proper documentation of incident analysis and resolution activities.\nOutage & Major Incident Support\nParticipate in major incident and outage bridges.\nSupport restoration activities during planned and unplanned outages.\nPerform impact analysis and root cause identification.\nCoordinate communication among technical teams during service disruptions.\nContribute to post-incident reviews and corrective action plans.\nSAP Basis Administration\nMonitor SAP application servers, databases, and interfaces.\nManage user lock situations, spool issues, background job failures, and transport-related operational activities.\nSupport kernel updates, parameter reviews, and system maintenance activities.\nAssist in system refreshes, client copies, and technical operations as required.\nMonitor HANA database health and performance indicators.\nChange & Release Support\nSupport implementation of approved changes within maintenance windows.\nValidate system readiness before and after deployments.\nCoordinate transport movement activities across landscapes.\nParticipate in change advisory and operational review meetings.\nService Management\nWork within ITIL-based service management processes.\nMaintain accurate ticket updates and operational documentation.\nEnsure compliance with SLA, OLA, and customer-specific operational requirements.\nPrepare operational reports and service review inputs.\n\nWho You Are\nSAP Technical Skills\nSAP Basis Administration (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager).\nSAP HANA administration and monitoring.\nSAP system startup/shutdown procedures.\nTransport Management System (TMS).\nBackground job and spool administration.\nSAP performance monitoring and troubleshooting.\nExperience with SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Focused Run is desirable.\nRISE with SAP Knowledge\nUnderstanding of RISE with SAP operating model.\nFamiliarity with SAP-managed cloud environments.\nKnowledge of SAP support boundaries and customer responsibilities in RISE landscapes.\nExperience working with hyperscalers such as:\nAmazon Web Services\nMicrosoft Azure\nGoogle Cloud\nITSM & Operations\nIncident Management.\nProblem Management.\nChange Management.\nMajor Incident Handling.\nRoot Cause Analysis (RCA).\nSLA-driven support operations.\nExperience\n3-8 years of SAP Basis administration experience.\nExperience supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.\nExperience in 24x7 production support environments.\nExposure to RISE with SAP operations is preferred.\nExperience working with managed service providers or AMS/MSM engagements.\nPreferred Certifications\nSAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP System Administration.\nSAP HANA Administration certification.\nITIL Foundation Certification.\nKey Success Metrics\nIncident response and resolution within SLA.\nReduction in recurring alerts and incidents.\nSuccessful outage recovery and service restoration.\nSystem availability and operational stability.\nCustomer satisfaction and service quality scores.\nTypical Interview Questions for This Role\nHow do you handle a production outage in a RISE with SAP environment?\nWhat steps would you take when a HANA database alert is triggered?\nHow do you differentiate responsibilities between customer, MSM partner, and SAP under RISE?\nExplain your approach to major incident management.\nWhich SAP transactions and tools do you use for system health monitoring?\nHow do you perform root cause analysis after a critical incident?\nDescribe your experience with SAP Cloud ALM monitoring and alerting.\nHow would you handle repeated memory-related alerts on an application server?\nThis JD aligns well with a 24x7 SAP Basis Operations / Command Center / Managed Services Engineer supporting RISE with SAP customers through monitoring, alert handling, incident resolution, and outage management.\n\nBeing You\nThe "Kyn" in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
