Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai, with the flexibility to work from home on agreed days. The Senior Business Development Manager – Healthcare Communications will lead new business initiatives, identify and qualify prospects, and build a robust pipeline among pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. The role involves developing and executing business development strategies, preparing proposals, and delivering compelling sales presentations and pitches to senior client stakeholders.

The person will collaborate closely with account management, strategy, creative, and medical teams to understand the integrated communication solutions that address client needs and objectives. Daily responsibilities include managing key accounts, negotiating contracts, tracking revenue targets, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, and providing timely business reports and forecasts to leadership. The role also includes representing the agency at industry events, nurturing long-term client relationships, and mentoring junior team members where required.\nQualifications\nStrong new business development and business development skills, with a track record of winning and growing healthcare or agency accounts.\nProficiency in sales and sales presentations, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals with senior decision-makers.\nExperience in account management, ensuring high client satisfaction, retention, and growth through proactive relationship-building and solution-focused support.\nBackground in a healthcare communications agency environment is highly preferred.\nAbility to translate client objectives into integrated communication strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong analytical and forecasting abilities, with comfort using CRM or sales tracking tools.\nBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, communications, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is an advantage.\nSelf-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.\n· 5+ years of experience in Business Development
