Embedded Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Senior verification engineer focused on validating embedded/edge systems that combine hardware and software components. The role emphasises system-level test design, automation, and deep debugging across hardware, OS, and application layers.

Key Responsibilities

Define system-level verification strategy for edge devices and hardware-software integration points

Design and execute test scenarios across hardware configurations, peripheral interfaces, and operating environments

Validate media capture/streaming behaviour under load and variable network conditions

Perform root-cause analysis using logs, traces, metrics, and targeted experiments

Develop automation frameworks/tools (preferably in Python) to improve coverage and repeatability

Create test harnesses for network simulation (latency/packet loss/bandwidth constraints)

Partner with engineering teams to improve testability, diagnostics, and release readiness

Must-have Skills & Experience

5-8+ years in embedded/system verification or validation

Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration testing on Linux-based systems

Strong debugging skills and comfort with system tools and log analysis

Scripting/automation experience (Python preferred)

Understanding of networking fundamentals and how they impact real-time systems

Good-to-have / Bonus

Experience testing real-time streaming/media systems

Experience with USB peripherals, capture devices, or IO-heavy systems

Familiarity with CI-integrated test automation and test reporting

Exposure to performance profiling and NFR testing
