• Job Description: Senior Consultant – SAP FI Tax (DRC) Position Title: Senior Consultant – SAP FI Tax (DRC) Primary Skills: SAP FI, Tax, DRC (Digital Reporting Compliance) Secondary Skills: Asset Accounting (AA), Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant –
• SAP FI Tax (DRC) who will lead and deliver finance, statutory reporting, and tax-driven digital compliance solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in India and China taxation, hands-on experience with tax external engines (e.g., Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Vertex), and strong functional knowledge across SAP FI, DRC, Asset Accounting, and EBS. Experience with EU taxation is an added advantage.
• This role requires excellent client interaction capabilities, process-oriented solution design experience, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams for interface development and customized ABAP enhancements. Key Responsibilities Functional Tax Expertise · Lead SAP FI and Tax (DRC) implementations, rollouts, and support activities. ·
• Configure and deliver statutory compliance and digital reporting solutions such as GST reporting, and China Golden Tax systems SAF-T and local country tax recruitment · Work with external tax engines (ONESOURCE, Vertex) including integration, configuration, and troubleshooting. ·
• Provide expert-level support and solutioning for India and China tax processes (GST, withholding tax, statutory reports, SAF-T-like obligations). · Support optional EU tax process design, such as VAT reporting and Intrastat (good to have). SAP FI Functional Delivery ·
• Lead configuration and solution design in core SAP FI areas (GL, AP, AR, Banking). · Provide hands-on experience in Asset Accounting (AA) including depreciation areas, asset life cycles, capitalization, and reporting. ·
• Support and configure Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) including MT940, CAMT formats, and posting rules. Technical Integration Collaboration · Work with SAP technical teams to define requirements for interfaces, data exchange, and customized ABAP developments. · Review functional specs (FSD), validate technical designs, and support unit and integration testing. · Coordinate with middleware teams (e.g., PI/PO, BTP,). Client Interaction Delivery · Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and recommend best practices. ·
• Ensure solution delivery adheres to compliance and audit needs. · Act as SME in FI Tax for cross-functional teams. · Provide training, UAT support, and post-go-live assistance.
• Required Skills Experience · 7–12 years overall SAP FI experience with specialization in Tax and DRC. · Strong expertise in India and China tax localization including e-Invoicing, GST, statutory reporting, withholding tax, and related compliance requirements. · Hands-on experience with Tax External Engines such as: o Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE o Vertex ·
• Deep knowledge in SAP FI including GL, AP, AR, Banking, and month-end closing activities. · Working experience in DRC frameworks, statutory reports, and digital filing integrations. · Secondary skills: o Asset Accounting (AA) o Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) · Experience in interfaces and custom ABAP program review/design (functional side). · Strong client interaction, communication, and stakeholder management skills. · Ability to deliver process-driven, compliant, and scalable solutions. ·
• Good to have: Knowledge of EU taxation (VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales List). Preferred Qualifications · SAP FI certification (optional but beneficial). · Experience working in multinational corporate environments. · Expreince to S/4HANA Finance is an added advantage.
