With offices worldwide, the firm serves organizations around the world as an independent member of Nexia.\n\nWe currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join the CFO team in our Advisory practice - Chennai office.\n\nCohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location.
However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or training.\n\nYOUR TEAM.\n\nThis position will support our CFO team. We invest in a robust Total Rewards package that includes everything from generous PTO, a flexible work environment, expanded parental leave, extensive learning & development, and even paid time off for employees to volunteer.\n\nYOUR ROLE.\n\nResponsibilities include but not limited to:\nAdvise clients on new and complex accounting pronouncements including revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, asset impairment and purchase accounting.\nManage and lead highly complex engagements, advising across a multitude of transactions, including IPO readiness and M&A\nProvide clients and engagement teams with technically sound accounting advice at various levels of complexity.\nSuccessfully interact and establish lasting relationships with external and internal stakeholders\nMentor and coach junior team members\n\nYOUR EXPERIENCE.\nThe successful candidate will have:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related field\n8+ years of relevant work experience of which 5+ years should be in technical accounting roles (strong SEC reporting knowledge is necessary)\nPrior public accounting experience in audit and assurance a plus\nStrong GAAP experience along with hands on experience drafting 10Q/10K and/or performing controllership functions related to consolidations and reporting\nStrong communication, documentation and presentation skills\nHighly driven and self-motivated to work as required, with a hands-on approach to ensure the deliverables are produced on time with high quality\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills, being highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project)\nStrong project and time management skills\nAccuracy and attention to detail\nAptitude for numbers and quantitative skills\nAction-oriented (self-starter, team player, detail-oriented)\nMust be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines\nAbility to interact with senior executives and management\nAbility to solve problems by gathering information, discuss options and make recommendations\nAbility to work flexible hours and travel as required, in support of the business\nSignificant knowledge of accounting and finance processes and functions\nStrong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis\n\nIn addition, please take a moment to review our Universal Job Standards.\n\nStudies have shown that we are less likely to apply to jobs unless we meet every single qualification.
