Senior Australian Accountant

Salary range: Rs 800000 - Rs 1000000 (ie INR 8 - 10 LPA)

Requirements

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end accounting for Australian clients
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations
Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
Finalize books of accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules for year-end compliance and tax requirements
Prepare and review BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements)
Ensure GST compliance and reconciliations
Assist in payroll processing and superannuation reconciliations
Prepare management reports, cash flow reports, and financial analysis
Coordinate with Australian accountants, tax agents, and clients for reporting requirements
Work extensively on Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and other cloud-based accounting software
Review accounting records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
Mentor junior team members and review their work for accuracy and compliance
