The Opportunity:
The Video Editor & Motion Designer will serve as the creative engine behind the school's digital storytelling and visual communications strategy. This role is responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling, high-retention visual content that enhances the school’s brand, supports admissions campaigns, engages parents and prospective families, and showcases the vibrant life of the school community.
The successful candidate will combine exceptional editing skills, motion design expertise, storytelling instincts, and emerging AI-powered creative workflows to deliver high-quality content across multiple digital platforms.
As a key member of the Marketing & Communications team, the Video Editor & Motion Designer will play a critical role in shaping the school’s digital presence and ensuring all visual content reflects the premium standards and values of Queen Elizabeth’s School.
The Role:
Video Editing & Storytelling
- Edit high-quality video content for:
- Admissions Campaigns
- School Events
- Student Life Features
- Parent Communications
- Brand Awareness Campaigns
- Social Media Platforms
- Performance Marketing Campaigns
- Transform raw footage into engaging, cinematic stories with strong narrative structure and audience appeal.
- Create platform-optimised content for:
- Instagram Reels
- YouTube Shorts
- Digital Advertising Campaigns
- Apply audience retention strategies, pacing techniques, and visual storytelling principles to maximise engagement and watch time.
- Ensure all content aligns with the school’s brand identity, tone, and visual standards.
Motion Design & Visual Effects
- Design and create custom motion graphics that enhance content quality and audience engagement.

Audio Engineering & Post-Production
- Lead all post-production audio enhancement activities.

AI-Enhanced Creative Production
- Leverage AI-powered creative tools to streamline production workflows and enhance output quality.

- Continuously explore emerging AI technologies and integrate them into the creative production process.
- Drive productivity improvements while maintaining creative excellence.
Content Optimisation & Audience Engagement
- Analyse content trends and audience behaviour to improve content performance.
- Implement proven retention techniques, visual hooks, and storytelling frameworks.
- Adapt content formats to platform-specific algorithms and best practices.
- Contribute creative ideas for new content series, campaigns, and engagement initiatives.
Content Management & Quality Control
- Maintain organised project structures, media libraries, and digital asset management systems.
- Ensure proper file naming conventions, version control, and archiving practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Conduct thorough quality reviews to ensure flawless audio-visual synchronisation and final output standards.
The Person:
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Film Making, Multimedia, Animation, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Video Editing and Motion Design.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing high-quality editing, motion graphics, and digital storytelling projects.
- Experience working in fast-paced content production, digital marketing, creative agency, media, or in-house brand environments.
- Experience producing content for social media and digital advertising campaigns is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in:
