Pre Sales Cyber Security Consultant
Job Description
Federal, State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers.\nUnderstand government procurement processes and cybersecurity compliance requirements.\nAssist customers in aligning solutions with government security mandates and standards.\nTechnical Leadership\nStay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends.\nProvide subject matter expertise across cybersecurity domains.\nSupport internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.\nMentor junior pre-sales engineers and analysts when required.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.\n\nExperience\n2–8 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, security engineering, or pre-sales roles.\nMinimum 3 years supporting cybersecurity sales opportunities.\nExperience working with U.S. Government customers or government contractors.\nExperience supporting proposal development and technical bid responses.\n\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of one or more of the following areas:\nSecurity Operations Center (SOC)\nSIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm)\nEndpoint Detection & Response (EDR/XDR)\nIdentity and Access Management (IAM)\nCloud Security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)\nNetwork Security\nVulnerability Management\nZero Trust Architecture\nData Security and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)\nSecurity Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR)\nManaged Security Services\n\nCompliance & Frameworks\nKnowledge of:\nNIST Cybersecurity Framework\nNIST 800-53\nFedRAMP\nFISMA\nCMMC\nCJIS\nHIPAA\nISO 27001\nCIS Controls\n\nPreferred Certifications\nOne or more of the following certifications are highly desirable:\nCISSP\nCISM\nCCSP\nCEH\nSecurity+\nMicrosoft Security Certifications\nAWS Security Specialty\nPalo Alto Networks Certifications\nSplunk Certifications\n\nRequired Competencies\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong presentation and customer engagement abilities.\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExperience working in a cross-functional global environment.\nAbility to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nTechnical win rate for supported opportunities.\nQuality and timeliness of proposal submissions.\nCustomer satisfaction during pre-sales engagements.\nNumber of successful POCs and demonstrations.\nContribution to revenue growth and pipeline development.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nOpportunity to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies.\nExposure to U.S. Government and Public Sector cybersecurity programs.\nCollaborative and growth-oriented work environment.\nCareer advancement opportunities in cybersecurity consulting and solution architecture.\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package.\n\nEmployment Type: Full-Time\nWork Hours: Alignment with U.S.
