Full Stack Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain comprehensive web applications and data solutions that consolidate and present data from various sources. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building scalable and efficient full-stack applications using React, Java, and AWS to support the organization's data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Data Integration and Backend Development: Develop and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and backend services using Java to ingest and process data from multiple sources, including travel booking systems, event management platforms, and internal HR systems. Ensure the seamless integration of these diverse data sources into the application architecture.
• UI and Platform Development: Lead the design and full-stack development of user interfaces using React.
• API Development and Integration: Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java to enable internal and external clients to access data and services. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate the APIs with various systems and applications, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.
• Cloud Infrastructure and Services: Leverage AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, and CloudWatch to build scalable, serverless, and event-driven architectures. Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Infrastructure Automation: Leverage infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation to set up the foundational infrastructure, including code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient and scalable development workflows.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimization, such as addressing performance bottlenecks, enhancing data processing capabilities, and improving user experience, to improve system reliability and efficiency.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in React for front-end development, including React Hooks, state management (Redux or similar), and modern JavaScript (ES6)/TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Java for back-end development, including Spring Boot or similar frameworks, RESTful web services, and unit testing with JUnit
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration patterns
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• Familiarity with front-end technologies and responsive user interface development
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation
• Proficient in version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing using EventBridge, SQS, SNS, or Kinesis
• Knowledge of security best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, AWS Cognito)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of data warehousing solutions and analytics services (Redshift, Athena, Glue)
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch)
