S/w Engineer

Hiring manager is mainly looking for below skills.

• They are looking for mainly coding/development experience with Java/Python/Golang.
• Shell Scripting experience.
• Docker/Kubernetes will be an added advantage.

Description :

• Working experience in building massively scalable high-performance services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in GO is an advantage.
• Expertise in Java
• Expertise in shell scripting.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge.
• Strong working knowledge in docker.
• Deep understanding and working knowledge on any one of these systems: Zookeeper/etcd/consul
• Working knowledge on any one of these cluster managers: Kubernetes/Kubernetes.
• Experience in AWS / Google Cloud is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fundamental distributed system principles.

Team and Team structure

• Teams responsible for building container cloud platform for PayPal.
• Deployment platform which utilizes various technologies looking for some experience in Docker (working on certain areas so having that will be helpful) same time they are going to be doing a lot of automation so looking for help there with the engineers.
• Working cloud area but not expecting a lot of cloud exp. up front.
• someone with strong java/GO might be able to help up front.
• Have various needs so can shuffle things around even if skillset isn't exactly matching. Have work in different areas. So having broad experience would be beneficial.
