Job Description
Role Overview
The Video Editor will be responsible for creating compelling video content that strengthens Chandigarh University's brand presence across digital, social, and marketing platforms. The role involves editing promotional videos, student stories, event coverage, corporate films, reels, and campaign content while maintaining high visual and storytelling standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit high-quality videos for branding, admissions, social media, events, and institutional campaigns.
- Create engaging short-form content such as reels, shorts, and social media videos.
- Collaborate with the branding, marketing, admissions, and media teams to understand campaign objectives and deliver creative video solutions.
- Handle video cutting, color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and basic visual effects.
- Maintain consistency with Chandigarh University's brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Organize and manage video assets, project files, and content libraries.
- Support live event coverage, interviews, testimonials, and promotional shoots when required.
- Optimize video content for multiple platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and internal communication channels.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Mass Communication, Film Production, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in video editing, digital media, branding, or content production.
- Proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent software.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, typography, transitions, and audio editing.
- Strong storytelling, creative visualization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in education, media, advertising, or branding will be preferred.
