About The Job:
- Experience: 5 to 8 Years
Essential Job Functions:
- PDC Mastery: Using Pega Diagnostic Cloud to identify issues, performance degradation, and database bottlenecks.
- Debugging: Proficient with Tracer, Clipboard, and Live UI. Experience with debugging Pega alerts and fixes, including DB optimization and indexing.
- Deployment: Managing deployment pipelines and ensuring guardrail compliance during migrations. Experience with PDM.
- Grafana Knowledge (Good to have): Ability to analyze dashboards and correlate Pega incidents with system metrics.
- Certifications: Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSA) is highly preferred.
- Pega Cloud: Understanding of Pega cloud architecture and working with Pega cloud support.
- Experience with Pega Logs and PLA.
- Infrastructure: Knowledge of JVM, memory, cache, traffic handling, certificates, etc.
The Pega Support Engineer will act as the bridge between business users and the engineering team. The role includes Reactive Support and Proactive Maintenance.
This role will not fix code issues for production tickets. L3 teams will handle those. This role focuses on triaging, troubleshooting, assignment, and tracking.
Technical Troubleshooting & Resolution
- Problem Ticket Diagnosis: Use Tracer, Live UI, and Clipboard to identify issues. Fix configuration/infrastructure issues or assign to relevant CFT teams.
- Integration Support: Monitor and troubleshoot service/listener failures to ensure smooth integration.
Platform Monitoring & Health
- PDC Oversight: Monitor Pega Diagnostic Cloud alerts like long-running queries and DB latency issues.
- Monitor, Fix, Triage and Track PDC Errors: Raise JIRA tickets, fix NFR/config issues, assign to correct teams, and track closure.
- Agent & Queue Management: Monitor Job Schedulers and Queue Processors.
- Log Analysis: Analyze Pega logs and Alert logs to detect instability patterns proactively.
Release & Environment Stability
- Pega Support Tickets: Coordinate with Pega Support teams for SR resolution.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain knowledge base for L1 support and reduce escalations.
- Deployment Support: Assist in deployments across Dev, Stage, and Production environments.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
- Ticket Deflection Rate: Percentage of issues resolved at L2 without escalation to L3.
- SLO Breach Count: ≥95% compliance with defined SLO; no Sev-1/Sev-2 breaches.
- Proactive Catch Rate: Issues identified via PDC before users report them.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 to 8 years in Pega support or related roles.
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSA) certification preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in production support and enterprise environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
