Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering, of which a portion includes working with AWS.
• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code tooling such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or CDK.
• Demonstrable experience provisioning AWS services, such as EMR, S3, IAM, VPC/Networking, and working knowledge of the AWS data ecosystem.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow (or AWS MWAA) in conjunction with EMR job flows.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming in at least one language such as Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience working in multi-account, production-grade cloud environments, with a focus on stability, security and cost-effectiveness.
• Good understanding of version control, CI/CD concepts and how IaC fits into DevOps workflows.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with good communication skills (written and verbal) to engage with teams and stakeholders.
