Social Media Manager

On-site, Contractual role based in Mohali, Punjab.

Role Description

• Manage and execute social media strategy for political campaigns across platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube)
• Plan and oversee daily content calendars aligned with campaign narratives and news cycles
• Monitor real-time political developments and lead rapid-response content execution
• Coordinate with design, video, and content teams to deliver high-impact creatives
• Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, sentiment) and optimize content accordingly
• Build and maintain consistent political messaging, tone, and digital presence
• Identify trends, hashtags, and audience sentiment to maximize visibility and engagement
• Handle community management, including comments, DMs, and audience interaction when required

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Indian politics, especially Punjab's political landscape
• Proven experience (5+ years) in managing political or campaign-related social media accounts
• Hands-on experience with platform tools (Meta Business Suite, X/Twitter tools, YouTube Studio, etc.)
• Ability to interpret analytics and translate insights into content strategy
• Strong command over written and spoken Punjabi
• Experience in handling high-pressure, real-time content during elections or major political events
• Understanding of audience segmentation, voter behavior, and narrative positioning
• Basic knowledge of paid campaigns (boosting, targeting, ad performance) is preferred
