Role Overview

The Cinematographer will be responsible for conceptualizing, capturing, and producing high-quality visual content that showcases Chandigarh University‘s academic excellence, campus life, student success stories, events, and brand identity. The role requires expertise in cinematography, visual storytelling, camera operations, lighting, and creative direction to create compelling content for digital, social media, admissions, and branding campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Cinematography

  • Plan and execute professional video shoots for branding, admissions, marketing campaigns, corporate films, and promotional content.
  • Capture high-quality footage of campus infrastructure, academic activities, student experiences, faculty interactions, events, and institutional achievements.
  • Operate professional cinema cameras, DSLR/mirrorless cameras, drones, gimbals, and lighting equipment.
  • Ensure optimal framing, composition, camera movement, and visual aesthetics during shoots.
  • Develop creative visual narratives that align with Chandigarh University‘s brand identity.

Creative Direction

  • Collaborate with branding, content, admissions, and marketing teams to conceptualize and storyboard video projects.
  • Translate campaign objectives into engaging visual content.
  • Recommend innovative shooting styles, cinematic techniques, and content formats to enhance audience engagement.

Post-Production Support

  • Work closely with video editors to ensure smooth post-production workflows.
  • Review footage, provide editing inputs, and ensure final outputs meet quality standards.
  • Support color grading, visual effects, and motion graphics integration where required.

Event & Campaign Coverage

  • Lead videography and cinematography for university events, conferences, convocations, cultural festivals, and leadership interactions.
  • Produce testimonial videos, interviews, documentaries, and institutional films.
  • Manage outdoor and on-location shoots while ensuring production efficiency.

Asset & Equipment Management

  • Maintain camera equipment, drones, lighting setups, audio gear, and media assets.
  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and backup of video footage.
