Role Overview:
The Principal Technical Product Owner is responsible for defining and owning the technical product vision, goals, and roadmap in collaboration with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams. This role combines strong technical expertise with product leadership to ensure delivery of high-value solutions that align with organizational strategy, enhance customer experience, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the technical product vision and roadmap in alignment with overall business and technology strategies.
Collaborate with Product Managers, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to prioritize and deliver features that maximize customer and business value.
Drive strategic product discussions by leveraging deep technical knowledge to influence design, architecture, and product decisions.
Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
Partner with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, leadership, and delivery teams.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release management for assigned products.
Monitor product performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize customer experience and ROI.
Communicate product vision, priorities, and status updates effectively to executive leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Principal Product Owner, or similar role in a technology-driven organization.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development lifecycle.
Ability to balance technical depth with business acumen to drive informed product decisions.
Experience in defining roadmaps, product strategies, and KPIs for technology products.
Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, and leadership.
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, APIs, integrations, and modern software development practices.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
