Position Summary and Location
The job purpose includes the network analysis and design, technology support, client support of the Global Data Solutions Data Network globally. The individual must be qualified at all levels of LAN and WAN, Voice, and Security technologies as per the qualifications listed in the job description. Knowledge of standard project management practices with excellent written and oral communications skills are also required.

REQUIRED
8+ years' experience in network operations, engineering, or NOC environments across Data, Wireless, and Security technologies
Experience of directly working with customer and client technical teams
Strong experience with network monitoring and observability tools (e.g. SolarWinds, Splunk, Grafana)
Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
Designing wireless networks for WAN and LAN solutions
Advanced knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 subnetting and routing
Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
Designing global call routing on Cisco VG, CME, CUE, and CCM
CCNA, CCNP Route & Switch / CCNP Security / CCNP Voice / CCDA / CCDP / Cisco Data Center certifications or equivalent
ITIL Certified
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Bachelor's degree preferred
DESIRABLE
Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, PowerShell)
Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and SD-WAN technologies
Experience with event correlation platforms and SIEM/SOAR tools
Higher-level certifications (e.g. CCIE, PCNSE, JNCIP/JNCIE, cloud networking certifications)
Experience working in mission-critical / high-availability environments
Exposure to network performance analysis and capacity planning techniques
Experience contributing to network design standards, architecture reviews, or technical governance

TCP/IP network protocols following the OSI model
Cisco ASA Firewall with working knowledge of DMZ design and security best practices
Wireless design typically gained from past experiences with the Cisco product line
Configuring and troubleshooting GRE/IPSEC in a dynamic VPN environment
QOS policies across the Enterprise for Data, Voice and Video solutions
Cisco ASR, Nexus, Catalyst 6500, 2960, 2900 ISR, 4000 ISR, 819, 829, 3560, ASA and WISM product lines
Cisco CME, CUE, SIP, SCCP, Telephony services, Voice Codecs, and Translation patterns
Routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, RIPv2, OSPF, PFRv3 and static routing protocols while using IPSLA
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead advanced configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of network equipment (Cisco routers/switches, IP telephony, CME, CUE, wireless LAN) in coordination with Project, Engineering, and Customer teams.
Act as the highest technical escalation point within the NOC, resolving complex network, voice, and wireless issues.
Lead technical response during high-severity (P1/P2) incidents, ensuring rapid service restoration and clear communication to stakeholders.
Own and drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and recurring incidents, implementing long-term corrective actions to improve stability.
Maximize network performance and reliability through proactive monitoring, trend analysis, and optimisation of alerts, thresholds, and configurations.
Document network designs, configurations, and change requests in line with standard operating procedures to support global operations.
Operate effectively within a 24x7 shift environment, providing flexibility and urgency when handling service-impacting escalations.
Provide technical leadership during shifts, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring adherence to standards, processes, and best practices.
Collaborate closely with Network Architects, Engineering, and Project teams to support delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to network design reviews, global standards, and documentation for data, voice, and video services.
Engage directly with vendors/OEM support (e.g., Cisco TAC) for advanced troubleshooting and escalations.
Participate in project planning and delivery, ensuring operational readiness and smooth transition into support.
Continuously develop expertise in emerging technologies and solutions to support both operations and project requirements.
Apply excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
