About The Client:
A British multinational alcoholic beverage company, with its headquarters in London, England. It operates from 132 sites around the world. It is a major distributor of Scotch whisky and other spirits. Distilleries owned by Client produce 40% of all Scotch whisky with over 24 brands.
About The Job:
- Commercial Experience deals with approximately 25,000 customers, resulting in around 400,000 orders and collection of approximately 9 billion GBP on an annual basis.
- The role drives customer satisfaction through service excellence.
- Purpose of the role is to drive CASH and TAG results by managing excellent business partnering with Customers, Sales, and Commercial Finance teams.
Essential Job Functions:
- Schedule and lead regular communications with Customers and Sales to drive cash collection and eliminate recurring issues related to cash, disputes, data, or technical topics.
- Perform proactive cash collection and manage customer payment behaviour.
- Manage credit risk by monitoring customer payments, proposing credit limit changes, and approving order releases based on Statements of Account.
- Manage customer ledger including overdue invoices, rejected deductions, unidentified deductions, and accurate reason code updates.
- Provide inputs to cash forecasting activities.
- Validate and approve outgoing payment proposals.
- Review bad debt situations with In market Commercial Finance and drive decisions on provisioning and write offs.
- Perform annual credit limit reviews.
- Take ownership of incoming customer queries and respond through Internal Query Management tickets within defined timelines.
- Maintain and update customer contact details and customer knowledge documentation.
- Build strong working relationships with Customers, In Market Sales, Commercial Finance, and Process Excellence teams.
- Actively promote CARM (Sarbanes Oxley) and internal control agendas.
- Provide reporting and data inputs to support root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent language skills as required for the specific market.
- Strong English language skills as the company working language.
- Willingness and ability to build strong relationships with customers.
- Ability to take ownership of cash collection and customer satisfaction outcomes.
- Proactive, solution oriented mindset with a positive “can do” attitude.
- Strong ownership and entrepreneurial approach with escalation where required.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively based on customer business understanding.
- Self driven with confidence to operate independently.
- Active team player who seeks and responds to feedback.
- Desirable: College or university degree.
- Desirable: Financial knowledge and commercial experience.
- Desirable: Knowledge of commercial experience processes.
- Desirable: Strong MS Office skills.

- Customer deduction management (unidentified and rejected deductions)
