As an Asset Servicing Operations Specialist within Custody Asset Servicing, you process mandatory global corporate actions and income events with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls. You reconcile positions and payments, resolve operational issues, and coordinate closely with Middle Office and Client Service teams to deliver seamless outcomes. You contribute to continuous improvement by performing peer reviews, proposing enhancements, and leveraging automation to optimize daily operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process mandatory corporate action and income payments received from agents and depositories.
  • Reconcile positions and payments and post related transactions accurately to client accounts.
  • Execute routine and complex asset servicing tasks and deliver timely operational or technical resolutions.
  • Diagnose exceptions and investigate issues through to closure within defined autonomy.
  • Verify payments, income, and tax-related items and resolve client and internal queries.
  • Apply end-to-end asset servicing lifecycle knowledge to manage downstream impacts effectively.
  • Coordinate with Middle Office and Client Service teams as a primary operational point of contact.
  • Perform peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and controls.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend changes that reduce risk and rework.
  • Support shift coverage and extended hours while meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Complete supervisory checks and daily operational sign-offs with strong control discipline.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a business discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • Bring 8 years of financial services experience in custody asset servicing, fund services, markets/prime brokerage, or securities lending.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of mandatory corporate actions and income processing across the asset servicing lifecycle.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex breaks and operational issues.
  • Communicate effectively across stakeholders and partner closely with Middle Office and Client Service.
  • Organize and prioritize competing workstreams to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Operate with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (VLOOKUP), Word, and Outlook.

  • Utilize Alteryx, Python, and AI-driven automation to streamline processing and controls.
