About The Job:
- We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITAM Developer to design, develop, and enhance solutions within the ServiceNow platform, specifically focusing on IT Asset Management (ITAM), including Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
- The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of ServiceNow best practices, and hands on experience working with CMDB, asset lifecycle processes, discovery, integrations, and license management.
Essential Job Functions:
Development & Configuration
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITAM modules including HAM, SAM, CMDB, and related workflows.
- Implement and enhance asset lifecycle processes, data models, and business rules.
- Customize forms, UI policies, client scripts, server scripts, UI actions, and automated flows.
- Build and support Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with third party asset tools.
- Ensure platform stability by implementing updates, patches, and module enhancements.
- Collaborate with platform architects to maintain ServiceNow governance and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Work closely with ITAM, ITSM, and CMDB teams to ensure accurate asset tracking and reporting.
- Support software license management, reconciliation activities, and entitlement mapping.
- Assist in defining asset workflows, inventory controls, compliance tracking, and audit processes.
- Partner with cross functional teams to understand business needs and deliver scalable ITAM solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and user guides.
- Support UAT, training, and rollout activities for newly developed features.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4-12yrs.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands on experience with ServiceNow ITAM (HAM/SAM), CMDB, and Discovery.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, ServiceNow Scripting, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
- Experience with MID Server configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage.
- Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset).
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
- ServiceNow Certifications such as:
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ITAM Micro-Certifications
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – HAM/SAM/CMDB
- Experience in large enterprise environments or global organizations.
