About The Job:
- The Walt Disney Company is seeking a technically skilled and forward-thinking Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its Enterprise Technology team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on building scalable, resilient infrastructure and enabling high-performance AI systems across cloud and on-premises environments.
- You will apply a software engineering approach to architect, automate, monitor, and operate platforms that support Disney’s generative AI initiatives.
- The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure-as-code, and ensure operational excellence across distributed systems. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of internal and customer-facing applications used across Disney’s global business units.
- Serve as a specialist in generative AI systems, models, and tools.
- Design, build, and support CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring solutions.
- Engineer for high reliability, security, and scalability across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Collaborate with business partners to facilitate infrastructure migrations and promote DevOps best practices.
- Accelerate technology adoption through consultation, onboarding, and enablement.
- Develop and maintain telemetry, documentation, and best practices for performance, capacity, and incident management.
- Support containerised workloads and hybrid infrastructure setups.
- Troubleshoot complex systems and performance issues across distributed environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large IT shared services or outsourced environments.
- Minimum 5 years of systems administration experience with major operating systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience automating operations of large-scale systems.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with generative AI tools and platforms.
- Strong experience with GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LiteLLM, vLLM, OpenSearch).
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Go).
- Deep expertise in Linux administration and performance monitoring.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (HTTP, TLS, SSH, DNS).
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, ECS).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure setups.
- Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., DataDog, Splunk).
- Experience hosting and debugging highly available web applications.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Redis, Pinecone).
- Ability to implement monitoring, instrumentation, and telemetry.
- Experience containerising applications and orchestrating containers.
- Experience supporting containerised workloads on-prem.
- Hybrid cloud/on-prem data centre expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work experience may be considered.
