About the Role

We're looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes social media. Someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, save a post, share a reel, or follow a brand. At Leap, you'll own our social media presence across platforms, with a strong focus on Instagram, helping us build one of the most engaging study abroad communities in the country.

This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity with execution, has a strong understanding of internet culture, and has a proven track record of growing and managing social channels.

The Charter Will Include:

  • Own and drive Leap's social media strategy across Instagram and emerging platforms
  • Build and execute content calendars aligned with business and brand goals
  • Grow Instagram through a mix of reels, carousels, creator-led content, trends, and community-first storytelling
  • Identify social trends, cultural moments, and platform updates, and adapt them for the study abroad audience
  • Work closely with content creators, designers, video editors, and marketing teams to bring campaigns to life
  • Drive audience engagement through comments, DMs, community initiatives, and social listening
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify insights, and continuously optimize content based on data
  • Experiment aggressively with new content formats, growth levers, and platform features

Ideal Persona Would Have:

  • 2–3 years of experience managing and growing social media accounts for a brand, creator, media company, or community.
  • Demonstrated success in growing Instagram accounts through organic content and community-building efforts.
  • Strong understanding of content formats, platform algorithms, audience behaviour, and social media trends.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills with a keen eye for what performs on social.
  • Experience working with creators, influencers, and content production teams.
  • High ownership, bias for action, and a willingness to experiment and learn quickly.
  • A portfolio, social media handle, or case studies showcasing campaigns, content, or accounts you've grown.

Bonus Points If

  • You Have built your own audience or creator presence online.
  • Have experience in education, consumer internet, or youth-focused brands.
  • Are the person in your friend group who spots trends before everyone else.
