Position Overview
As the Head of Generative AI Practice , you will serve as the strategic IT co-pilot for Generative AI across the enterprise. In this high-impact executive role, you will influence, align, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that overarching business strategies are enabled by robust, market-leading technological solutions. You will be responsible for building this practice from the ground up—driving use case development, managing infrastructure and tooling, establishing vendor governance, and leading a high-performing team of Gen AI specialists.
Core Responsibilities
- Practice Leadership & Strategy: Build, scale, and lead Techmagnate’s Generative AI practice. Serve as a core advisor for enterprise-wide strategy projects and partner with industry leaders to deliver pioneering AI solutions.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Align and manage internal and external stakeholders during solution design and project execution. Oversee vendor selection, collaboration frameworks, and governance models.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, retain, and manage a top-tier team of Gen AI specialists. Foster talent development and drive organization-wide education on LLM capabilities.
- R&D and Innovation: Research emerging Generative AI/LLM advancements for continuous improvement. Explore, validate, and develop high-value use cases using advanced AI techniques.
- Delivery & Evangelism: Manage complex, global project lifecycles. Support internal and external events with capability demonstrations, presentations, and technical thought leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Computer Science, or a relevant business/technical function (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 15+ years of executive experience in IT, with a dedicated focus on AI, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Leadership: 5+ years of direct people management experience overseeing technical teams.
Required Skills
- Deep, practical understanding of AI/LLM technologies and their commercial applications in business operations.
- Proven track record in client-facing consulting or industry-specific strategic roles.
- Demonstrated experience in project/program management for complex, global initiatives.
- Exceptional time management skills with a knack for multitasking across parallel projects.
- Superb verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and executive suites.
Preferred Skills
- Strong execution capabilities in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Direct experience globally deploying enterprise-grade software platforms.
The First 180 Days: Onboarding & Execution Roadmap
Objective: Seamlessly integrate into Techmagnate, establish the foundation of the Gen AI practice, deploy the first wave of high-value use cases, and scale global delivery capability.
30-Day Plan: Assimilation & Assessment
- Listen & Learn: Conduct deep-dive syncs with cross-functional stakeholders, business units, and existing IT leadership to understand Techmagnate’s current technological footprint and strategic goals.
- Audit Current Capabilities: Evaluate existing AI talent, infrastructure, tooling, and inflight AI experiments or pilots.
- Vendor & Partner Review: Review current vendor relationships, active contracts, and pipeline collaborations related to AI/LLM tools.
- Define Initial Roadmap: Identify and prioritize the top 3–5 high-value Generative AI use cases to pursue as immediate proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
90-Day Plan: Foundation Building & Quick Wins
- Establish Governance: Define the operating model, infrastructure guidelines, and governance framework for the Generative AI practice.
- Talent & Education: Identify skills gaps within the current team and initiate a recruitment pipeline for Gen AI specialists. Launch the first wave of stakeholder education sessions regarding LLM capabilities.
- Execute Proofs of Concept: Kick off development on the prioritized use cases, utilizing both agile methodologies and strategic vendor partnerships.
- Evangelism: Deliver the first set of capability demos and presentations at internal events to build organizational momentum and buy-in.
180-Day Plan: Scale, Deploy & Optimize
- Global Deployment: Begin scaling and globally deploying the first successful Generative AI solutions across client environments or internal business operations.
- Full-Scale Practice Management: Fully operationalize the Gen AI practice with established KPIs, robust infrastructure, and clear talent retention programs.
- Continuous Innovation Loop: Establish an R&D framework to continuously research, test, and inject new LLM/Generative AI advancements into the company's long-term enterprise strategy.
- Strategic Client Impact: Partner directly with industry leaders to position Techmagnate as a market-leading authority in the Generative AI space, converting pilot success stories into repeatable enterprise solutions.
