Role Overview

The Media Asset Coordinator is responsible for organizing, managing, and distributing digital media assets (videos, graphics, photos, audio files, project files) across teams. This role ensures assets are properly cataloged, version-controlled, accessible, and delivered on time to support production, post-production, marketing, and content operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain digital media libraries, servers, and cloud storage systems
  • Organize assets using clear naming conventions, metadata, and folder structures
  • Track asset versions and ensure teams are using the latest approved files
  • Coordinate asset ingestion, backup, archival, and retrieval workflows
  • Support editors, producers, designers, and stakeholders with file delivery needs
  • Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing media files (format, resolution, naming, completeness)
  • Troubleshoot missing, corrupted, or incompatible media assets
  • Ensure proper rights management, licensing, and usage documentation where applicable
  • Assist in workflow optimization for media transfer and storage efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, creative, post-production, and operations teams


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in media management, post-production coordination, or digital asset management
  • Strong understanding of video, audio, and image file formats/codecs
  • Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, cloud storage, and file-sharing tools
  • Experience with editing/post-production environments such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge for media workflows and storage systems
