The University of Aberdeen will open its Mumbai campus in Powai in September 2026. At launch, it will offer six programmes: four-year undergraduate degrees in Computing, Data Science, Economics, and Business Management, along with one-year master’s degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Business Administration.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Communications (Marcom) professional to drive execution, coordination, and operationalization of marketing initiatives across central marketing team, University/campus teams, and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns in alignment with central team marketing strategy
- Act as the bridge between central marketing, University/campus teams, and local stakeholders
- Ensure timely rollout of campaigns across channels, particularly LinkedIn and other digital platforms
- Track campaign timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure execution excellence
2. Content Calendar Management & Follow-through
- Execute and maintain the content calendar provided by central marketing
- Ensure timely publishing of content across social platforms, especially LinkedIn
- Follow through on scheduled posts, approvals, and updates without gaps
- Adapt content calendars to incorporate local priorities where required
3. Local Content Capture & Adaptation
- Capture on-ground content (events, campus activities, leadership visits, student stories, etc.)
- Translate local updates into usable social media and communication content aligned to brand tone
- Collaborate with internal teams to source content inputs regularly
- Ensure quality, relevance, and consistency in all local content
4. Brand Alignment & Approval Management
- Ensure all communications strictly adhere to brand guidelines and messaging frameworks
- Manage content approval workflows between internal stakeholders and central marketing teams
- Incorporate feedback and ensure final outputs are compliant and on-brand
5. Agency & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with external agencies, designers, and content vendors for execution support
- Provide clear briefs aligned with central marketing direction
- Review outputs and ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness
- Manage day-to-day communication and follow-ups with vendors
6. LinkedIn & Social Media Execution
- Execute LinkedIn posts, updates, and campaigns as per approved plans
- Support leadership communication on LinkedIn (formatting, posting, coordination)
- Monitor engagement and flag insights to central marketing teams
- Ensure consistent presence and hygiene of social media platforms
7. Reporting & Execution Support
- Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, campaign execution status)
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards for marketing leadership
- Provide on-ground insights and feedback to refine future campaigns
- Support ad-hoc marketing and communication requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing communications/social media execution, or campaign coordination
- Strong expertise in LinkedIn content strategy and corporate communication
Required Skills
- Exposure to employer branding initiatives
- Basic understanding of design/video tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
- Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making
