About the Role


The SAP AI Process Adoption Architect will play a key role in accelerating AI-enabled process transformation within the Elevate program. This role works at the intersection of SAP functional processes, AI capabilities, and business value realization. The position will collaborate closely with process owners, solution architects, and the AI Center of Excellence (AI-CoE) to identify, evaluate, and drive adoption of AI solutions across SAP-enabled business processes. The role is part of the AI-CoE team but is fully aligned to Elevate, with execution accountability towards both organizations.


Responsibilities


AI Opportunity Identification & Evaluation

  • Engage with process owners and SAP solution architects to identify opportunities where AI can enhance efficiency, user experience, and process automation.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments of AI use cases, including data readiness, technical fit, process impact, and alignment with Elevate objectives.
  • Evaluate AI solutions (SAP-native, partner, and custom AI-CoE solutions) and recommend optimal adoption pathways.


Business Case & Value Realization

  • Build qualitative and quantitative value cases for proposed AI use cases.
  • Estimate effort, benefits, risks, and ROI for each AI adoption opportunity.
  • Support stakeholders in prioritizing use cases and shaping the adoption roadmap.


Implementation Alignment & Execution Support

  • Partner with Elevate teams and Implementation vendor to align AI implementation plans with the SAP transformation roadmap.
  • Provide functional guidance and architectural coordination during design and implementation phases.
  • Ensure AI solutions meet business needs, comply with governance frameworks, and integrate seamlessly with SAP processes.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work cross-functionally with process owners, solution architects, data teams, and AI-CoE experts.
  • Act as the bridge between the Elevate program and AI‑CoE on AI-enabled SAP process innovations.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and reviews with stakeholders.


Knowledge & Best Practices

  • Provide thought leadership in SAP-integrated AI capabilities (e.g., SAP Joule, AI Cockpit, SAP BTP AI services).
  • Maintain documentation of use cases, methodologies, templates, and lessons learned.
  • Stay current with SAP’s AI roadmap and industry trends to advise on future capabilities.


Qualifications


Experience

  • 12–15 years of strong SAP functional experience across two or more modules (e.g., OTC, P2P, SCM, FICO).
  • Mandatory to have worked with AI ideally with enterprise systems or SAP AI platforms.
  • Experience engaging with business process owners, architects, and transformation programs.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA transformations (preferred).


Required Skills

  • Deep understanding of SAP business processes and integration points.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLM-based solutions, automation, and data flows.
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP, AI services, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Ability to translate process needs into AI-enabled solution concepts.


Preferred Skills

  • Person would build internal awareness and capabilities within SAP Solution Architect and Process owner teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable navigating complex organizational structures and leading cross-functional discussions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with diverse teams.
