Job Title: Senior Backend Software Engineer (Messaging & Microservices)

Seeking a talented Software Engineer to architect, develop, implement, test, and maintain robust business and software applications tailored for specialized data engineering pipelines. This role encompasses full-stack responsibilities, involving both backend and frontend development to ensure seamless, efficient, and scalable system performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on leadership for complex and highly available systems
Own end-to-end delivery of systems processing 1M+ transactions/events per day
Lead architecture and design for distributed systems and event-driven microservices
Develop and scale high-performance RESTful APIs (low latency, high throughput)
Drive performance optimization initiatives achieving 20 40% improvement in system efficiency
Build prototypes/POCs to evaluate and onboard new technologies and frameworks
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, CI/CD standards, and code quality
Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence, code reviews, and design governance
Ensure 99.9%+ system uptime, reliability, and production stability
Own production support and resolve P1/P2 incidents within defined SLAs
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree (Computer Engineering or equivalent IT Engineering)
15+ years of total software engineering experience
10+ years of hands-on Java development experience
5+ years in a Technical Lead / Java Lead / Architect role
5+ years designing and building microservices and distributed systems
5+ years developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot / Spring Framework
3+ years experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems
5+ years working with SQL / RDBMS (high-volume transactional systems)
3+ years experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, build tools (Maven/Gradle)
3+ years experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber)
Experience building systems supporting high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years experience in high-scale data platforms / interoperability systems
2+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
2+ years experience in event streaming and real-time data processing systems
2+ years working with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
2+ years experience with NoSQL or large-scale data systems
Experience building systems handling millions of records / transactions daily
