Looking for an experienced MongoDB DBA to manage and maintain MongoDB databases and lead database migration projects from on-premises relational databases to MongoDB Atlas on Azure.
Candidate should have a strong background in MongoDB database administration, performance tuning, and disaster recovery, with specific expertise in Azure cloud services and database migration.
Data Modeling designing expertise with reporting knowledge and hands-on in current project.
Good-to-Have Skills
Work well with the stakeholders and communicate effectively with good verbal and written language skills.
Good-to-have experience in SQL.
Responsibilities
Database Administration – Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB databases on MongoDB Atlas.
Migration – Should have hands-on experience in migrating on-premises relational databases to MongoDB Atlas on Azure (Preferred) or any other cloud.
Deep understanding of MongoDB schema design, query execution, and aggregation framework. Design and optimize query execution plans, troubleshoot slow queries using explain(), and fine-tune indexes accordingly.
Practical knowledge of MongoDB anti-patterns and how to avoid them. Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas, Atlas Search, and performance monitoring tools.
Proven expertise in writing complex queries, including use of operators like and, or, in, regex, lookup, unwind, facet, project, and group.
Performance Tuning – Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and resource management.
Backup and Recovery – Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Security – Ensure database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
High Availability – Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using MongoDB Atlas and Azure services.
Database Migration – Lead and execute database migration projects from on-premises relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) to MongoDB Atlas on Azure.
Automation – Develop and maintain automation scripts for database management tasks using tools like Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Terraform.
Monitoring and Alerts – Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve database issues.
Collaboration – Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support application development and deployment.
Documentation – Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Proven experience as a MongoDB DBA, with a focus on Azure cloud services.
Experience with database migration projects from on-premises relational databases to MongoDB Atlas.
Should be flexible to work in US shifts between 11 AM – 11 PM for 9:30 hrs as per client timings.
All 5 days work from office with no exception. |
