Main Accountabilities

P&L and Portfolio Growth:

  • Take responsibility for the P&L and growth of the business within the region.
  • Identify opportunities and strategies to expand the portfolio in the small and medium sector.

New Business Opportunities:

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the SME space.
  • Develop and nurture New Markets.

Achieving Budgetary Targets:

  • Achieve budgetary targets for Net Interest Income (NII), Fee income, and Portfolio size.
  • Work toward meeting financial objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of sales managers, ensuring alignment with the growth agenda.
  • Optimize team productivity and assure the achievement of team results.
  • Recruit, train, and groom quality resources to enhance presentation and selling skills.
  • Develop and Nurture Strong Second lines.

Debt Syndication and Advisory Practice:

  • Support and develop the Debt Syndication and Advisory practice in the corporate space for the region.
  • Collaborate with team members to offer comprehensive financial solutions to clients.

Networking and Market Intelligence:

  • Build and maintain a strong network within the region's corporate sector.
  • Develop market intelligence capabilities to identify trends and opportunities.

Lead Generation:

  • Align with the team on ground lead generation activities to drive sales.
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies.

Sales Team Supervision:

  • Lead and supervise the sales teams, providing appropriate training, motivation, and deployment strategies.
  • Ensure the implementation of the growth agenda.

Team Size Management:

  • Manage team size by recruiting quality resources and grooming them as needed.
  • Focus on enhancing presentation and selling skills within the team.

Customer Feedback:

  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to make informed decisions regarding product/service improvements.

Sales Digitization:

  • Adopt sales digitization tools and effectively implement them with the sales teams.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting SME banking.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness in sales processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Degree: Post Graduate/Graduate in any discipline
  • Minimum Years/type of experience:12 - 15 years
