1. ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
Exemplar Performance Advantage Pty Ltd (Exemplar) is a Sydney-based management consulting
and corporate governance firm established in 1981. Its associated entity, Australia India Business
Pty Ltd (AIB), facilitates trade, investment, and professional development between Australia and
India.
Exemplar maintains a flagship corporate website and AIB maintains a dedicated bilateral trade and
education platform. Both websites are critical to the organisations' professional reputation,
stakeholder engagement, and lead generation activities. This role is responsible for ensuring both
sites are consistently available, secure, accurate, and optimally performing.
2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Website Monitor & Administrator is an India-based independent contractor responsible for the
day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and technical administration of the Exemplar and AIB
websites. The contractor will act as the primary first-responder to any technical issues and will
liaise closely with Sylvana Livissianis CPA (CEO/CFO, Exemplar) and Con Livissianis FCPA
(Managing Director) to implement content updates and improvements in a timely and professional
manner.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Website Monitoring & Uptime
• Monitor uptime for both websites 24/7 using agreed monitoring tools (e.g. UptimeRobot,
Pingdom or equivalent)
• Respond immediately to any outage, error, or degraded performance event and resolve or
escalate within agreed SLA timeframes
• Conduct weekly performance checks including page speed, broken links, and mobile
responsiveness
• Monitor SSL certificate expiry and renew proactively
• Maintain a monitoring log and provide a brief weekly status report to Sylvana Livissianis
3.2 Content Updates & Maintenance
• Implement approved text, image, and structural updates as directed by Exemplar
management
• Upload and format new content (news, events, blog posts, service descriptions, personnel
profiles) in a timely manner
• Ensure all pages are formatted consistently and in accordance with the brand style guide
• Manage and update navigation menus, calls to action, and contact forms
• Archive outdated content in a structured and retrievable manner
3.3 Technical Administration
• Manage hosting panel, domain settings, DNS records, and email configurations as required
• Perform regular CMS (WordPress or equivalent) core, theme, and plugin updates with pre-
update backups
• Schedule and verify automated daily backups; test restoration procedures quarterly
• Implement basic on-page SEO improvements as directed (meta titles, descriptions, alt tags,
sitemaps)
• Manage website forms, integrations, and third-party plugins including troubleshooting and
replacements
3.4 Security & Compliance
• Monitor for malware, spam injections, and unauthorised access attempts
• Apply security patches and hardening measures promptly
• Maintain strong password protocols and two-factor authentication across all administrative
accounts
• Report any data privacy or security concerns immediately to Sylvana Livissianis
3.5 Communication & Reporting
• Attend a brief weekly video check-in with Sylvana Livissianis (30 minutes via Zoom or
Teams)
• Respond to WhatsApp or email instructions within 2 business hours during agreed working
hours
• Provide a monthly summary report covering uptime statistics, updates completed, issues
resolved, and recommended improvements
• Proactively flag any emerging technical risks or opportunities
4. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in website administration and technical support
• Proficiency in WordPress (or comparable CMS) including theme customisation, plugin
management, and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for minor front-end adjustments
• Experience with web hosting control panels (cPanel, Plesk, or similar)
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and basic SEO practices
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal
supervision
Highly Desirable:
• Experience with website security tools and malware scanning (e.g. Wordfence, Sucuri)
• Knowledge of page speed optimisation, Core Web Vitals, and CDN management
• Experience supporting Australian or international clients in a remote contractor capacity
• Familiarity with Australian business culture and professional standards
5. ENGAGEMENT TERMS
Engagement type Independent Contractor Agreement
Expected hours Approx. 5–10 hours per week (variable based on workload)
Rate Competitive — to be negotiated based on experience (INR)
Invoicing Monthly, in arrears, with itemised time record
Tools provided Access credentials, brand assets, and style guide
Trial period 60-day initial engagement with mutual review
