Responsibilities
About the Role
Keysight DES EDA is a leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), delivering cutting edge software solutions for semiconductor and system design. We are looking for passionate software engineers to develop high-quality, scalable, and innovative software products used by customers worldwide.
You will work on software development, architecture, automation, performance optimization, and cross-platform application development while collaborating with global engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and automation solutions.
- Develop new features, frameworks, and algorithms.
- Improve software architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Build and support cross-platform solutions on Windows and Linux.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools, coding assistants, and autonomous agents to accelerate software design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Design, develop, and integrate AI-driven workflows, automation solutions, and intelligent agents to improve engineering productivity and business processes.
- Evaluate, prototype, and adopt emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and developer tools to enhance software delivery, quality, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Qualification: B.E./M.E./Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in C++ (Modern C++ preferred).
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and Software Engineering principles.
- Experience with Qt, GUI development, and cross-platform programming.
- Proficiency in Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Git, CMake, Jenkins, JIRA, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Understanding software security, testing, and code quality practices.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Understanding of AI/LLM concepts, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and integrating AI services through APIs and SDKs.
- Ability to identify and implement automation opportunities using AI tools and intelligent agents across the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of parallel computing, distributed systems, or cloud technologies.
- Exposure to EDA tools and semiconductor design workflows.
- Experience with performance optimization and large-scale software systems.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and enterprise AI adoption best practices.
