Sr. Staff System Integration Engineer
Role
We are looking for a Sr. Staff System Integration Engineer to join our team. This is a remote role, reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering in the Security Operations (SecOps) department. In this role, you will be responsible for validating and verifying integrations between security platforms and third-party tools, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and performance across the SOC ecosystem. You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies that ensure seamless interoperability and data integrity across all integrated systems.
What you'll do (Role Expectations)
Design, develop, and execute end-to-end integration test plans, cases, and scripts, performing functional, regression, performance, negative, and API testing (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) across all SecOps applications
Build and maintain automated test frameworks to validate API contracts, data flows, and system behaviors, ensuring data pipelines accurately ingest, normalize, and correlate security telemetry across integrated platforms
Partner closely with engineering, product, and platform teams within an Agile framework to understand integration requirements, define acceptance criteria, and actively participate in sprint planning and code reviews
Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle by identifying, tracking, and resolving bugs with engineering teams, maintaining meticulous test documentation, and ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and data handling standards
Act as the definitive quality gate for all integration releases, providing final sign-off before production deployment
Who You Are (Success Profile)
You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance, but as the raw material to build something meaningful.
You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
You are a problem-solver. You love running towards the challenges because you are laser-focused on finding the solution, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback-knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.
You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are obsessed with your own development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
7-10 years of experience in system integration testing or QA engineering, paired with strong proficiency in test automation using Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, GraphQL, OAuth 2.0, and webhook-based integrations using tools like Postman and SoapUI
Understanding of security operations workflows, incident response, and threat detection concepts, as well as experience validating integrations with SIEM/SOAR platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto XSOAR, or ServiceNow
Technical proficiency with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr and CI/CD pipelines, alongside familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience testing or developing AI-driven security analytics features, LLM-powered SOC assistants, or automated intelligent anomaly detection frameworks within an enterprise ecosystem
Knowledge of data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Pub/Sub and their testing methodologies
Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Locust, or familiarity with security testing practices including penetration testing concepts and vulnerability assessments
