Post Production Resource Specialist:

The Post Production Resource Specialist is responsible for supporting talent acquisition, resource planning, and vendor sourcing across post-production functions. This role will help identify, evaluate, and maintain a network of editors, motion designers, sound professionals, colorists, VFX artists, and external post-production vendors. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of post-production workflows and can effectively assess talent and resources to support evolving business and project needs.


Key Responsibilities:
Talent Sourcing & Recruitment
  • Create and publish job postings across relevant platforms.
  • Source candidates for editorial, motion graphics, sound, color, VFX, and production roles.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews.
  • Coordinate technical assessments and editing tests.
  • Evaluate submissions against role requirements and prepare candidate shortlists.
  • Maintain and grow a network of freelance and full-time post-production talent.


Resource Planning & Database Management
  • Build and maintain an organized database of editors, designers, animators, sound professionals, and other post-production specialists.
  • Track talent availability, skills, rates, and project experience.
  • Support staffing and resource allocation decisions across projects.


Vendor Sourcing & Management
  • Research and identify post-production vendors, studios, and specialist service providers.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, pricing, turnaround times, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a vetted network of external partners and freelancers.
  • Support vendor onboarding and engagement processes.


Process & Operations
  • Maintain recruitment pipelines and resource trackers.
  • Develop standardized candidate evaluation criteria and testing workflows.
  • Assist in workforce planning and scaling initiatives.
  • Generate periodic reports on hiring activity, talent availability, and vendor performance.


Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in post-production, production coordination, resource management, recruitment, or creative operations.
  • Working knowledge of post-production workflows and disciplines.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Frame.io, and project management platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate creative and technical talent across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience working with freelancers, agencies, or external vendors is preferred.
