Role Description The Home Automation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ludhiana, responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining home and building automation systems integrated with kavachX’s platform. In this role, the engineer will conduct site assessments, define system requirements, and implement solutions involving CCTV, access control, smart gate automation, networking, and related devices. Daily tasks include commissioning hardware, programming controllers, calibrating sensors, and ensuring seamless interoperability across security and automation components. The engineer will diagnose and resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and provide clear guidance to customers and internal teams on system usage and best practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams on new deployments, upgrades, and continuous improvement of automation workflows is a key part of this position.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control for home and building systems, including configuration, integration, and optimization of smart devices.
  • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose hardware, software, and network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement reliable corrective actions.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields are preferred.
  • Familiarity with home automation protocols (e.g., KNX, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Modbus), IP networking basics, and CCTV/access control systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics, with attention to safety standards and compliance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with customers and internal teams in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the region for installations, maintenance
