Job Description – Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer (CMF MES)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior SQA Engineer with strong expertise in Critical Manufacturing (CMF) MES to ensure high-quality delivery of semiconductor manufacturing execution systems. The role involves end-to-end validation of MES workflows, integration testing, database verification, and production support in a complex manufacturing environment.

Core Technical Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for Critical Manufacturing (CMF) MES applications.

• Validate end-to-end MES workflows including:

  • Work order lifecycle execution

  • Dispatching, routing, and scheduling

  • Material tracking, genealogy, and traceability

  • Equipment integration and shop floor automation

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing of MES modules.

• Validate data consistency across MES, ERP, and equipment interfaces.

• Perform backend testing using SQL (joins, subqueries, stored procedures, data validation).

• Execute API testing for MES services using tools like Postman or Swagger.

• Analyze system logs and troubleshoot MES workflow failures and production issues.

• Validate MES configurations such as rules, recipes, workflows, and constraints.

• Support release testing, deployment verification, and production issue analysis.

• Identify, log, track, and manage defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps.

• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.

• Ensure complete test coverage for semiconductor manufacturing and shop floor scenarios.

Required Technical Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA)

• Strong hands-on experience in Critical Manufacturing (CMF) MES

• Strong understanding of MES architecture and semiconductor manufacturing processes

• Expertise in manual testing and test case design

• Strong knowledge of integration and system testing

• Advanced SQL skills for database validation

• API testing experience (REST/SOAP) using Postman or similar tools

• Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA / Azure DevOps)

• Strong debugging and log analysis skills

• Understanding of MES workflows and shop floor automation systems

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium or similar)

• Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Java/C#)

• Experience in CI/CD and DevOps concepts

• Knowledge of ERP–MES integration

• Semiconductor or electronics manufacturing domain experience
