IBM InfoSphere DataStage - Hyderabad, Bangalore, Noida
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize ETL jobs using IBM InfoSphere DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Participate in data modeling, performance tuning, and ETL architecture design.
Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and support UAT for ETL jobs.
Implement data quality and data profiling strategies using IBM tools or third-party utilities.
Manage scheduling and automation of ETL workflows using tools like Control-M, Autosys, or IBM DataStage Director.
Monitor, debug, and resolve performance and production issues.
Maintain technical documentation, version control, and adhere to SDLC processes.
Work in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments as required.
Provide mentoring or leadership to junior developers when needed.
Required Skills:
8+ years of hands-on experience in IBM InfoSphere DataStage (versions 8.x/11.x).
Strong knowledge of ETL best practices, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
Experience with Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or other major RDBMSs.
Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
Experience with Unix/Linux scripting for automation and job orchestration.
Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage tools.
Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
Experience integrating with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Knowledge of data lake, data mesh, or data fabric architectures is an advantage.
