Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves direct user support and requires strong problem-solving and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to end-users for hardware, software, and networking issues.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and software.

  • Maintain and support Microsoft Windows and macOS environments.

  • Respond to tickets via helpdesk system, phone, email, or in person.

  • Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory.

  • Deploy operating system images and software via tools like SCCM, Intune, or similar.

  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes, including provisioning of IT equipment.

  • Maintain inventory of IT hardware and software licenses.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support or vendors.

  • Maintain documentation of support issues and solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1-3 years of experience in desktop support or similar IT support role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools.

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSA, etc.)

  • Experience with ITIL processes.

  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.

  • Experience supporting virtual desktop environments (e.g., Citrix, VMware).
