Manager - Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Engineering

• Design solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, or utility-scale).
• Perform system sizing, energy yield estimation, and performance analysis.
• Design DC and AC systems for solar PV plants
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and cable schedules
• Perform inverter sizing, string sizing, and cable sizing calculations
• Design earthing and lightning protection systems
• Conduct short circuit, load flow, and voltage drop analysis

System Design & Simulation

• Use tools like:
  • PVsyst
  • Helioscope
  • AutoCAD

2. Site Assessment & Feasibility

• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies.
• Analyze shadow, tilt, orientation, and structural constraints.
• Recommend optimal system configurations.

3. Technical Documentation

• Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and technical specifications.
• Develop design reports and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and DISCOM requirements.

4. Software & Tools

• Use design tools such as:
  • PVsyst
  • AutoCAD
• Perform simulations and energy generation forecasts.

5. Coordination & Execution Support

• Work closely with procurement and execution teams.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Resolve on-site design issues.
