Job Description
Job Summary Responsible for guiding the execution of engineering projects, ensuring they meet scope, timelines, and quality standards. This role involves managing and growing teams, identifying and breaking down complex challenges, and developing project roadmaps. Performs as a key leader in stakeholder management and communication. Job DescriptionEngineering Design/DevelopmentWith high-level goals provided, teams to develop large scale projects such as highways, tunnels, mass transit and aviation engineering designs of moderate to high complexity to meet client project requirements. Signs and seals engineering designs as necessary. Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and signs off on completed designs. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.Project Delivery & CoordinationLead the end-to-end project delivery for transportation, highway, and bridge design projects within the Global Design Center (GDC) framework for Middle East Regions. Monitor project performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, safety standards, and service-level expectations. Ensure seamless collaboration across multinational teams, leveraging global best practices in design and project execution.Stakeholder Management & Sales SupportManage stakeholder relationships, Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and other departments. Partners with Client Service Units to provide sales support. Technical LuminescenceAttends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.Technical GuidanceProvides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.Technical Knowledge Management (TKM)Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.OtherPerforms other duties as required.
Skills & Abilities
Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations. Basic knowledge of design standards (AASHTO, NACTO, etc.).
Qualifications
Education Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Engineering or Structural Engineering, or a related field.Experience Requirement - Minimum 18+ years of related experience in transportation infrastructure projects, preferably in a Global Design Center environment. Strong Middle East Client Management & Project Delivery experience is preferred.Expertise in transportation modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO) or highway design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) or bridge analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, Midas).Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design.Strong understanding of cross-border project coordination, international design standards, and digital transformation in engineeringKnowledge of design standards (AASHTO, NACTO, etc.)Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
