Job Description
Working independently and provides oversight and technical guidance on Wastewater Treatment systems design for wastewater facilities, and engineering designs of moderate to high complexity to meet client project requirements. Serving as process engineer to contribute to process and/or process mechanical and/or hydraulic design and supporting construction of water and wastewater infrastructure. Developing wastewatertreatment plant designs including: developing process flow diagram; influent plant data collection and analysis; performing calculations (Plant water balance, plant loading, treatment unit sizing, aeration requirement related calculation); setting design criteria; coordinating with equipment vendors; assessing technology for project applicable recommendations; write technical memorandum and preliminary design reports; designingpiping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID); and developing control descriptions and strategies.Experience with conventional wastewater treatment and advanced treatment technologies such as membrane filtration, UV disinfection, and advanced oxidation processes.Experience with aerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment systems.Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards related to wastewater treatment.Having experience in Detailed design of Wastewater treatment plants, calculation of Odor control flowrates/ capacities (preferred)Development of design drawings and specifications on large, complex, multi-discipline design projects.
Skills & Abilities
Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
Qualifications
ME or BE in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering with 12+ years of Experience (Preferred) At least 8 to 10 years of experience in the relevant process industry or industrial clients Excellent written and oral communication skills Independent player with high self-motivation
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineering (CEng) License (Preferred) Experience in International Projects will be added advantage
