Job Description

Enters quantity take-offs and material unit pricings as applicable to project. Recognizes and applies appropriate work breakdown structure (WBS) structure. Processes and identifies complete scope of project with limited levels of design definition. Assists in coordination of overall corporate estimating functions as below.Produce Quantity take off's by reviewing plans and specifications in assigned areas. identifies specific discipline take offs within their specialized disciplines (Concrete structures, Steel structures, Mechanical piping, Electrical and HVAC)Enter quantity take offs in Sage Timberline, material unit pricing as applicable to specific discipline and create a final OPCC report to internal & External client.Good understanding about water/wastewater infrastructure and associated country codal requirements (US/Middle East etc.,)Coordinate estimate material pricing from vendors and other sources.Complete general administration and record keeping duties including computer input and upkeep of estimating software.Assist with project buy out, trouble shooting and/or start up for their specific discipline when requested by Project staff.Close coordination with respective design discipline lead for scope definition
Skills & Abilities

Possesses working knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing. Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications and identify missing elements during design development. Solid multi-tasking skills and ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong personal computer skills with some use of Estimating and On-Screen digitizing software. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering & master's degree in construction management or equivalentExperience: Minimum 6+ years of relevant estimating experience with Construction field experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing. Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and standards.Work experience using ACAD, Revit, Civil 3D will be preferred.Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications.Ability to perform conceptual & Design estimates in multiple trades and review estimates in many trades.Ability to estimate many types of projects/contracts.; Strong personal computer skills including intermediate knowledge of estimating, and On- Screen digitizing software.;Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills essential; Fluent command of spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: Professional certification's will be preferred like AACE and CPE etc.
