Job Description
Job Summary:The AutoCAD Plant 3D Mechanical / Process BIM Modeler is expected to perform variety of design/3D modelling/drafting activities including, but not limited to preparing and updating 2D plans and sections, 3D equipment modelling, pipeline modelling and layout, orthographic generation, isometric extraction including support detailing, bill of material take off, etc.Duties & ResponsibilitiesShould be proficient using AutoCAD Plant 3D in following areas:oAbility to read and understand P&IDsoMapping P& IDs to Plant 3D piping modellingoEquipment modelling, Piping Support modelling/codes etc.oPipeline modelling and layoutoIsometric extraction (for fabrication)oOrthographic generationoKnowledge of specification and catalogue editing/new developmentoBill of material take offoMust be able to perform Clash Detection using Navisworks or BIM 360oKnowledge of Water/Wastewater treatment process and function of unitsoKnowledge of Navisworks Manage clash detectionoKnowledge of vessel / valve data sheetoKnowledge of standard pressure vessels, pumps and blowersoKnowledge of various types of valves and InstrumentsoKnowledge of various pipe material specifications and standardsoKnowledge of Civil 3D and REVIT MEP will be advantageousoIntegrating with other BIM software such as Civil 3D, Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage and Auto Plant 3DoCo-ordinating with other disciplines like Civil, Instrumentation, Structural, Electrical, etc. both in India and abroadoProficiency and understanding of civil, Mechanical & Point Cloud drawingsImplement innovative approach to reduce drawing production cost and hoursEfficient use/plugins for integrating other applications (Bentley Auto Plant 3D, Revit MEP etc.) to generate drawings based on specific project requirementAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAttending client coordination and review meetings, preparing and presenting project status updates and supporting Project Lead/Team Lead in engineering related tasksImplement safety and quality aspects into designTravel abroad or to other offices in India for projects and assignments etc.
Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication skills with strict attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to be a team player and contributor to the overall team. Possesses an advanced working knowledge of core Intelligent Modeling/CADD applications. Ability to apply advanced Intelligent Modeling/CADD drafting design techniques in accordance with the firm's and industry standards and codes. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office for design related tasks and discipline specific design/analysis software primarily within the Intelligent Modeling/CADD environment.

BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D Certified ProfessionalMinimum 8+ years of relevant experience in P3D is essentialExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and with a teamExperience with International projects will be an added advantage
