Role: Enterprise Architect
Experience & Qualification
Experience: 7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale IT architecture
and solution governance
Qualification: BE / BTech / MTech / MCA or equivalent (as per RFP)
Role Overview
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining and governing the
end-to-end architecture for IT 2.0, ensuring alignment between business
objectives, technology strategy, security, compliance, and business
continuity requirements, including BCP/DR planning at an enterprise
level.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Business & Requirement Understanding
Understands HPE business context and business requirements and
translates them into:
- Functional requirements
- Non-functional requirements
- Technical requirements
- Compliance and regulatory requirements
Participates in business requirements gathering workshops with HPE
stakeholders.
Principles and Standards
- Defines enterprise architecture principles, standards, reference
architectures and documentation standards for:
- Application development
- Deployment models
- Operations and support
- Drives and documents technology and architectural decisions, along
with rationale, across all stages of solution design,development,
and deployment.
- Maintains end-to-end architectural visibility from business
requirements to end users and underlying Data Centre /
cloudinfrastructure in the HPE context.
Strategy & Technology Direction
- Drives adoption of new and emerging technology trends aligned with
HPE long-term IT roadmap.
- Develops enterprise-level strategies covering:
- Solution design and architecture
- Deployment approaches
- Data protection and backup
- System and application integration
- Management and monitoring
- Security and compliance
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- User education and training
BCP / DR & Business Continuity Planning
- Ensures enterprise architecture supports BCP/DR objectives across
applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Provides architectural guidance for:
- RTO and RPO alignment
- Resilience, redundancy, and failover design
- Data protection and recovery mechanisms
- Works with the BCP Architect, Cloud Architect, and application teams
to ensure architectural consistency for DC-DRplanning and drills.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Communicates with stakeholders, including program and project
sponsors.
- Participates in Steering Committee meetings, presenting:
- Technology trends and recommendations
- Architectural challenges and mitigation approaches
- Solution options and support required
- Advises course corrections from an enterprise architecture
perspective when required.
Program & Project Enablement
- Provides architecture inputs and guidance to program and project
management teams.
- Supports alignment between architecture, delivery, operations, and
governance throughout the program lifecycle.
