Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications.
  • Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure maximum system availability.
  • Analyze logs, identify root causes, and resolve application incidents within defined SLAs.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to resolve production issues.
  • Perform incident, problem, and change management activities.
  • Support application deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation.
  • Monitor batch jobs, application servers, and middleware components.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of Java applications.
  • Create RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Java Production Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Experience with SQL (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) for troubleshooting and data validation.
  • Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, or WebLogic.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
  • Experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or BMC Remedy.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and production support processes.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies is an added advantage.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
