Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure maximum system availability.
- Analyze logs, identify root causes, and resolve application incidents within defined SLAs.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to resolve production issues.
- Perform incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Support application deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation.
- Monitor batch jobs, application servers, and middleware components.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of Java applications.
- Create RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Java Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Experience with SQL (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) for troubleshooting and data validation.
- Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, or WebLogic.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
- Experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or BMC Remedy.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and production support processes.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
- Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies is an added advantage.
- ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
